Permissions: You must have Billing Permissions.
If a Client has two active Insurances (Insurance A and Insurance B). Insurance A is saved as the Primary Insurance and Insurance B is saved as the Secondary Insurance. When Insurance B is changed to be the Primary then Insurance A will automatically be changed to secondary.
- Locate Client and open Client Profile.
- Click Bill To & Insurance Info tab.
- Click the Actions drop-down for appropriate insurance, then select Edit Insurance from the drop-down.
NOTE: It is important to add an effective date for the insurance. The system uses the effective date to determine the correct payer(s) to resubmit claims.
- Change the Insurance Type.
- Click Save button.
